Trip to the Canary Islands 3-16 Feb / Discover the Saronic Gulf and Etna volcano in 2019 (VolcanoDiscovery Newsletter Nr 21, Dec 2018)
Dear friends and guests,
a year with very interesting eruptions (Hawaii, Krakatoa, for example) is soon over, but we're already planning new volcano adventures for 2019. For those interested, here are some new tours:
3-16 Feb 2019: study trip to the Canary Islands
Info:
https://www.volcanoadventures.com/tours/canary-islands.html
The Canary Islands are a natural showcase of intense volcanic history that has created them over the past millions of years, and the process is far from finished. Visit Lanzarote, La Palma, El Hierro, and Tenerife, 4 very different islands, in a small group together with a geologist and photographer from our team!
30 Mar - 6 Apr 2019: walking tour to the Saronic Gulf
Info:
https://www.volcanoadventures.com/tours/greece/saronic-gulf/walking.html
The Methana peninsula along with Poros and Aegina Islands opposite Athens form one of Europe's most interesting although also least known volcanically active arease. Rich with unspoiled nature and full of traces of ancient history and legends, Saronic Gulf is particularly beautiful in spring. Discover this fascinating area on a relaxed walking with our Greece specialist, photographer Tobias Schorr who knows the inside outs of this area like no other.
25 May - 1 June 2019: special tour 1 week on and around Etna
Info:
https://www.volcanoadventures.com/etna/hiking/8days/tour.html
Europe's largest and most active volcano continues to change rapidly as its frequent eruptions (currently from the summit craters) continue to add lava flows, build new cones, create new pit craters...
For those who like to get to know this volcano in depth, we propose a 1 week hiking tour dedicated entirely to Etna. Together with a mountain guide and a volcanologist you will discover not only its summit craters, the Valle del Bove, the ALcantara Gorge, but also all its 4 flanks, each different in character. Plus of course, hopefully, some volcanic activity!

our tours?

With our very best wishes for a peaceful Holiday Season!
